Product Details
The LTM4658 is a complete 10A step-down switching mode μModule® regulator in a tiny 4mm × 4mm × 4.32mm LGA and 4mm × 4mm × 4.62mm BGA packages. Included in the package are the switching controller, power MOSFETs, inductor and all support components. Operating over an input voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V, the LTM4658 supports an output voltage range of 0.5V to VIN set by external resistors. Its high efficiency design delivers 10A continuous output current. Only ceramic input and output capacitors are needed.
The LTM4658 employs a Silent Switcher 2 architecture with internal hot loop bypass capacitors to achieve both low EMI and high efficiency at high switching frequencies.
The LTM4658 also supports frequency synchronization, multiphase operation, selectable pulse-skipping mode operation, output voltage tracking for supply rail sequencing. Its high switching frequency and a current mode architecture enables a very fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability.
Fault protection features include overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection. The LTM4658 is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant.
